I am not Luther King but I had a dream.

Last Saturday, at around 01:00 am, I was scrolling through my feeds in one of the social medias. Randomly checking through some aviation pages and persons, I happened to hit a link. It was a post from a page named “Prem Ale”. Now, I don’t know if it was legit or not. It said “Prem Ale” and I clicked it.

The article said that our minister was concerned about tourism in Khaptad Area in the country. Maybe everyone of us is. Minister Prem Ale, according to the article, said that we can attract huge amount of tourists in Nepal if we use places like Khaptad National Park. I thought he had a vision and that is why I liked the post. Khaptad Area has been one of the biggest bucket list of my life. And maybe because of that, in the same night, I actually had a dream about it.

Khaptad National Park Area

I could see Khaptad, beautifully created as a tourist destination in Nepal but that was not the entire reason I am writing this blog. The detail that got me goosebumps in my sleep was that I saw thousands of red, green, blue and yellow birds flying above Khaptad National Park at around 3000 Ft. AGL. Now they were not parrot or monal or any normal bird. There were thousands of Paraglider and Paramotor and Hang Glider Pilots filling the sky above Khaptad Region. Buzzing the same sky, there was a wing that was blue and red in color with white sun and moon prints which was unique among all. That was one of the best dreams I ever witnessed in life. That day, I was sad waking up into reality seeing empty skies of my country. But still until this day, the red, blue and white wing is printed somewhere deep inside me.

Now before you start thinking about Legality of flying above a National Park, let me remind you again that it was a dream. But honestly, I would say that a 90 days Pilot License Suspension and Rs. 10,000 fine would be a deal worth the magical experience of flying above the mystic Khaptad.
