Nepal hides something in its mountains and sky. The country itself has some rare varieties of weather and some amazing atmosphere which is sometimes both fun and challenging. A long belt of hills which can be seen from anywhere in the country exists in this beautiful land. These factors undoubtedly has made this country a must place to fly for all kinds of pilots.

The country has some talented Plane and Helicopter pilots who are always on the top list because of their amazing skills to fly around the mountains. Ultralights in Pokhara add more beauty to the sky and some paragliders are seen on different parts of Nepal either solo or tandem.

Although these recreational flights are not very rare in this country, these flights are done (most of the time) by some institutions and not a random person from the street. General people of Nepal lack information about flying and think that it is impossible to fly unless you are a foreigner or rich. These kinds of wrong information has lead Nepalese to an average life not consisting of some aviation sports. Nepal therefore feels waste of beautiful untouched clouds and un-buzzed mountains.

Flying doesn’t mean having a private jet or buying a helicopter. A paraglider wing and certified training can be afforded in Nepal by spending not more than 5 lakhs which is less than the cost of a bike these days. There are some paragliding schools in Dharan like Asian Paragliding Academy and also on other places like Pokhara which provides training to anyone who wants to fly on paragliders.

Still, being such a paradise for sky adventurers, there are rarely any aviation sports like paramotoring, hang-gliding, skydiving, base jumping and such.
